Terms of Service

These terms govern how creators publish, how viewers unlock content, and how money moves through the platform.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Truth or Dare is an online marketplace where creators publish “Truth” answers and “Dare” challenges that viewers can unlock for a price the creator sets. By creating an account, unlocking content, or publishing content, you agree to these Terms of Service, the Prohibited Content & Conduct Policy, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund Policy.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to browse, buy, or sell on the platform.
  • You must provide accurate account information and keep it current.
  • Creators who wish to receive payouts must complete identity verification. Unverified creators can publish and earn, but payouts are held until verification is complete.
  • You may not use the platform if you have previously been banned, or if applicable law prohibits your use.

3. Creator content and licence

  • You keep ownership of everything you post. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, display, and deliver your content to buyers and to promote it on the platform.
  • You are responsible for having the rights to everything you upload, including photos, video, and audio.
  • You may decline any custom request for any reason. Declined requests are not charged.
  • You may remove listings at any time. Content already unlocked by a buyer remains accessible to that buyer.

4. Pricing, fees, and payouts

  • Creators set their own price for each Truth or Dare. A price of $0 publishes the item as free, with the answer visible on the profile.
  • Applicable sales tax is calculated on top of, or extracted from, the buyer's payment and remitted to the relevant authority — it is never part of creator earnings.
  • Platform commission is 10% of the pre-tax amount.
  • A flat processing fee of $0.35 applies to each transaction.
  • Creator net earnings = (amount paid − tax) − 10% commission − $0.35. Example: a $1.20 payment including $0.20 tax leaves $1.00 pre-tax, minus $0.10 commission and $0.35 processing, for $0.55 to the creator.
  • Referral partners earn 5% of the net earnings of creators they refer, for 12 months from the referral date. This is paid by the platform out of its commission and does not reduce creator earnings.
  • Payouts are processed monthly to the bank details on file, provided identity verification is complete and the balance clears any minimum threshold.
  • You are responsible for your own income taxes and any reporting obligations in your jurisdiction.

5. Buyer purchases

  • Unlocking an item grants you personal, non-transferable access to that answer and any attached media.
  • You may not record, redistribute, resell, repost, or publish unlocked content anywhere. Doing so is a breach of these terms and may also be copyright infringement.
  • Custom requests are offers. A creator may accept or decline; declined requests are not charged, and pending charges are released.
  • Ratings must reflect genuine experience. Coordinated or retaliatory rating campaigns may be removed.

6. Prohibited conduct

The Prohibited Content & Conduct Policy is part of these terms. In addition, you may not attempt to move payments off-platform, evade fees or bans, scrape the site, interfere with the service, or misrepresent your identity or age.

7. Suspension and termination

  • We may remove content, restrict features, suspend, or permanently close an account that breaches these terms or the content policy.
  • Serious violations may result in forfeiture of pending payouts and referral to law enforcement where required by law.
  • You may close your account at any time. Closing an account does not cancel obligations already incurred, including delivery of paid content.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

  • The platform is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, specific earnings, or any particular level of demand.
  • Creators are independent users, not employees or agents of the platform. We are not a party to the underlying creative relationship between a creator and a buyer.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim, or $100.

9. Changes and contact

  • We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the site, and continued use after the effective date means acceptance.
